Compare

Fyliio and the alternatives, compared fairly

Seven tools that CA firms and accounting firms consider for collecting client documents on WhatsApp, set against what Fyliio does today. Every competitor fact links to that vendor's own page.

The short answer

Most alternatives are broader: practice suites (Zoho Practice, Finexo, CAGos), a firm-wide WhatsApp operating system (WhatsForm CA), ITR intake (OpenCA), Tally data entry (Vyapar TaxOne) or upload links (ChaseDocs). Fyliio does one job: it runs the monthly document collection cycle inside each client's WhatsApp chat and hands your team checked, complete documents.

Competitor facts last checked 8 October 2026. Prices are as listed by each vendor and may change.

Fyliio today

What Fyliio does, and what it does not

The comparison only counts features that ship today. Planned work is labelled as planned.

Fyliio does

  • Sends each client a WhatsApp request that names the open checklist items for the cycle
  • Checks every photo or PDF against that client's open items, with period checks and duplicate detection
  • Sends anything the AI is unsure about to a review queue; nothing unclear is ticked off automatically
  • Reminds clients 7, 4, 2 and 1 days before the due date, with quiet hours, a 12-hour pause when a client replies, and a stop when the list is complete
  • Shows a live board of who is complete, partial or not started, keeps the conversation history, and exports a ZIP of checked, complete documents

Fyliio does not

  • Prepare, calculate or file returns, or connect to the GST portal
  • Export to Tally or any accounting software
  • Collect by email or run a client portal; clients never get a login
  • Give each firm its own WhatsApp number; clients chat with Fyliio's WhatsApp Business number
  • Charge per client; plans are per firm
  • Offer checklists other than GSTR-3B yet; GSTR-1, TDS and ITR are planned

Tool by tool

Each alternative, with sources

What each vendor says about its own product, when it is the better pick, and how Fyliio differs.

Fyliio vs OpenCA

AI client management for Indian CA offices, focused on income tax returns.

What OpenCA says it does

  • Reads incoming emails and WhatsApp messages and identifies document types such as Form 16, PAN card, 26AS and broker statements.
  • Gives each client a checklist across KYC, income, investments, capital gains and ESOPs, and sends automatic follow-ups listing what is pending.
  • Detects duplicate files using file hashing, and includes invoice generation.
  • Supports ITR-1, ITR-2 and ITR-3; ITR-4 and NRI returns are listed as coming soon.
  • Priced per client: ₹80 per client per month billed monthly, ₹60 quarterly, ₹40 annually, with up to 5 team members.

Choose OpenCA if

Your peak is the ITR season, you want email and WhatsApp intake in one place, and per-client pricing suits your practice.

How Fyliio differs

Fyliio is built around a recurring monthly cycle (GSTR-3B today), collects on WhatsApp only, and is priced per firm. Its AI only chooses between the items still open for that client and cycle, and anything it is unsure about goes to your team.

Fyliio vs Finexo

Practice management software for CA and tax practitioners, with a WhatsApp client portal.

What Finexo says it does

  • The WhatsApp client portal is a workspace WhatsApp chat in which clients upload documents; a WhatsApp session has to be configured for the workspace first.
  • Portal features (chat, document upload, invoice download) are toggled per firm, and uploads go to a storage destination the firm configures.
  • Invoice download in the chat works when Finexo Books is connected, and portal activity is reported at the firm level.
  • Plans create GST, ITR and TDS tasks automatically. All features are on every plan, including bulk WhatsApp, SMS and email reminders; tiers differ by client count, users and storage.
  • Pricing runs from ₹5,999 to ₹24,999 per firm per year, billed annually and exclusive of 18% GST. The ₹5,999 Premium tier covers up to 250 GST clients.

Choose Finexo if

You want one low-cost system for tasks, billing and client uploads, and a WhatsApp upload chat is enough for your clients.

How Fyliio differs

Fyliio is not a practice management suite. It does one job: a named GSTR-3B checklist request in WhatsApp, an AI check of each file against that client's open items with staff review for anything unsure, and a board that shows who is complete. It can sit beside the software you already use.

Fyliio vs WhatsForm CA

A “CA firm operating system on WhatsApp”: projects, tasks, inbox, CRM and document collection.

What WhatsForm CA says it does

  • Combines a shared team inbox, client CRM, projects, milestones and tasks with reusable blueprints, document collection and an AI assistant.
  • Can auto-create a WhatsApp group per engagement or per client through the WhatsApp Business API, send the document checklist on creation and post tiered reminders in the group.
  • Groups need a WhatsApp Business account with a quota of 1,000+ business-initiated conversations per day, according to its own page.
  • Offers a 14-day trial. We did not find pricing on its public CA pages.

Choose WhatsForm CA if

You want to run projects, tasks and client communication for the whole firm on WhatsApp, including groups per engagement.

How Fyliio differs

Fyliio does one job: the document collection cycle. Each client gets a one-to-one chat, with no groups to create or close, and the board shows checklist completeness per client.

Fyliio vs CAGos

Practice management for Indian CA firms, with a high-volume ITR and GST filing module.

What CAGos says it does

  • Sends bulk document requests (Form 16, 26AS, bank statements, rent receipts) and chases pending documents with reminders over WhatsApp and email.
  • Clients upload documents through a self-upload portal.
  • Tracks returns on a Kanban pipeline from documents pending to filed and e-verified, and keeps a notice management repository.
  • Practice suite: CRM, HRMS, billing, document vault and compliance calendar.
  • Starter is ₹2,499/month (up to 50 clients); Growth ₹4,999/month and Enterprise ₹9,999/month (unlimited clients); 14-day free trial.

Choose CAGos if

You want a full practice suite with a client portal and a filing pipeline from documents to e-verification.

How Fyliio differs

Fyliio has no client portal and no filing pipeline. Clients only ever reply in WhatsApp, and Fyliio stops at checked, complete documents that your team files in its own software.

Fyliio vs Vyapar TaxOne Chat

A WhatsApp chat organiser for accountants, part of the Vyapar TaxOne suite.

What Vyapar TaxOne Chat says it does

  • Automates WhatsApp follow-ups, centralises client chats and document history, and tracks which team member spoke to which client.
  • Creates and assigns tasks from chats, including GST filing and reconciliation tasks.
  • Auto-maps sales and purchase Excel sheets using AI and keywords, then sends the data to Tally.
  • On 8 October 2026 the site navigation listed “Vyapar TaxOne Chat (PMS)” as Coming Soon.
  • The suite's Unlimited Plan is ₹10,000 per year (shown as 50% off ₹20,000), with GST extra and a 7-day free trial.

Choose Vyapar TaxOne Chat if

Your clients send Excel registers and your goal is getting that data into Tally, alongside GST reconciliation.

How Fyliio differs

Fyliio does not export to Tally. It is built for clients who send photos and PDFs: it checks each file against the client's open checklist items and keeps reminding until every item is received or waived.

Fyliio vs Zoho Practice

Practice management for accounting firms, with a WhatsApp integration.

What Zoho Practice says it does

  • Covers client and task management, document management, workpapers, workflow automation and billing. The self-service client portal is on the Premium plan.
  • The WhatsApp integration connects your own WhatsApp Business number, with Zoho as the Business Service Provider. You buy IM credits to send notifications.
  • Staff can send template notifications (including for client requests) and chat with a client once the client replies.
  • Standard is ₹2,950 per organisation per month billed annually (₹3,540 monthly); Premium is ₹8,950 (₹10,740 monthly). Both include up to 5 users; extra users are ₹400/user/month. 14-day free trial.

Choose Zoho Practice if

You want a complete practice suite with a client portal, and WhatsApp notifications from your own number are enough.

How Fyliio differs

Fyliio sends the checklist request and the scheduled reminders itself, checks every file against the open items, and stops when the list is complete. It does not replace a practice suite and can run beside one.

Fyliio vs ChaseDocs

Document chasing over WhatsApp or email for client-facing firms worldwide.

What ChaseDocs says it does

  • Sends one branded, no-login link over WhatsApp or email; the client uploads files and answers questions on a mobile page.
  • AI checks each upload for the right type, period and readability, flags issues and auto-names the file; a person still approves.
  • Files go to your own Google Drive (Dropbox, OneDrive and S3 are listed as coming soon). ChaseDocs keeps the checklist and a pointer, not the file.
  • Reusable checklist templates, automated reminders and a status dashboard.
  • Solo $29/month, Team $79/month, Firm $149/month, billed per firm, with a 7-day free trial.

Choose ChaseDocs if

You want email as well as WhatsApp, your own Google Drive as the file store, or checklists for non-tax work.

How Fyliio differs

With Fyliio, clients reply inside the WhatsApp chat itself, with no link to open. Files are held in Fyliio's storage and deleted automatically after 90 days, and the GSTR-3B checklist is built in.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What is the best alternative to Fyliio?

It depends on the job. For a full practice suite, look at Zoho Practice, Finexo or CAGos. For ITR-season intake priced per client, OpenCA. For Tally data entry from Excel, Vyapar TaxOne. For upload links that save to your own Google Drive, ChaseDocs. Fyliio is for running the monthly document collection cycle inside WhatsApp.

Is Fyliio a practice management system?

No. Fyliio does not handle tasks, billing, timesheets or filing. It runs document collection: the checklist request, reminders, checking each file, and a board of who is complete. Firms can use it beside the practice software they already have.

Does Fyliio file returns or push data to Tally?

No. Fyliio stops at checked, complete documents. Your team downloads a ZIP and files in the software it already uses.

Do clients need to open a link or log in?

No. Clients reply in the WhatsApp chat with photos or PDFs. There is no upload link, app or password.

How is Fyliio priced compared with per-client tools?

Fyliio is priced per firm, per month: Pilot ₹2,999, Growth ₹4,999, and custom Practice plans. It does not charge per client.

How were the competitor facts checked?

Each fact comes from the vendor's own public pages, linked on this page, as read on 8 October 2026. Where a vendor does not state something publicly, we say so instead of guessing. Vendors change their products and prices, so check their sites before deciding. If anything here is wrong, email support@fyliio.com and we will correct it.
